Painter

Probe Interiors LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Painter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of painting techniques, surface preparation, and material application for both interior and exterior projects. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional quality finishes on a variety of surfaces, contributing to the overall aesthetic and durability of our interior and exterior projects.

1) Textured Painting

2) Wall and Ceiling Painting

3) Trim and Detail Painting

Here’s a breakdown of your key duties:

• Client Communication: Collaborate with the Project Engineer to comprehensively understand the site’s painting requirements, ensuring alignment with project objectives and specifications
• Scaffolding Assembly: Assemble scaffolding as required to access elevated surfaces for painting.
• Surface Protection: Cover trim, floors, furniture, and other surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths, and protective coverings to prevent paint spills and splatters.
• Safety Equipment Setup: Set up ventilators and other safety equipment to ensure the health and safety of painters by mitigating exposure to harmful fumes.
• Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces for painting by washing, filling holes and cracks with putty, and sanding them until smooth.
• Primer Application: Apply primer and sealers to paint surfaces to promote adhesion and enhance paint durability.
• Paint Mixing and Application: Mix and match paint, stain, and finishes according to job specifications, and apply them using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
• Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of painting supplies such as brushes, rollers, and tarps to ensure smooth project execution.
• Old Finish Removal: Remove old paint or finishes using scrapers, chemical compounds, or blowtorches as necessary.
• Cost Estimation: Estimate time and material costs for painting projects to ensure accurate budgeting and resource allocation.
• Cleanup and Maintenance: Clean machines, equipment, and work areas using appropriate cleaning aids and solvents to maintain cleanliness and safety standards.
• Work Order Implementation: Review and implement work orders and assignments in accordance with project requirements and timelines.
• Fixture Removal and Reinstallation: Remove and reinstall fixtures such as doorknobs and switch covers as needed during painting projects.
• Adherence to Safety Regulations: Adhere to safety protocols, rules, and regulations to promote a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
